Men have rights Too: Equality and Justice!

By S R Ranjan:  A Man is a son, is a brother, is a husband, is a father, is a grandson and a grandfather in a family, officially he is a friend, is a colleague, is a mentor...a Man is a human being and everyone in our lives...a Man has women to equally take care of and has responsibility towards them too in a family and the society…a Man has a mother, has a wife, has a daughter, has a sister, has a sister-in-law, has a grandmother, friends…a Man live for them, cares, respects and loves them all equally and needs to be respected, loved and cared equally.

A Man has rights too! A man has rights to life, justice, dignity, equality and liberty. Being equal, a man’s part as a just human being and his role in the society has been naturally defined and characterized by his actions and contributions through his Dharma, Karma and Farz. We must recognize and appreciate the contributions men make to the well-being of the humanity, nation building, society, communities and family. In our lives, the positive impact that men have not only shapes the better future, but also make the present safe, secure and push for socio-economic and religious changes that promotes compassion and understanding in life.

Today, we need to support and encourages open discussion about the challenges men faces in our daily lives, work, family and especially marriages. Beyond the stereotypes and societal stigmas, expectations, we need to highlight issues to MenToo.

MenToo should be guaranteed justice as equality. They deserve and seek equality and justice. They need for support systems, laws and initiatives that contribute to their overall wellness, physical and mental health, safety, happiness and peace.

Factually, 50.25% of the world’s population is men and 49.57% of the world population is women. In India, 51.7% of the population is men and 48.3% of the population is women. The 'Law the Land' guarantees equality of all and equal justice to all. Therefore, there should be “Equality before the Law" and "Equal protection of the Laws".

End of the day, all that matters is about family, society and humanity. Justice as equality for all can only guarantee and safeguard the well-being, harmony, togetherness, values of life, good living and a secure better future of generations.
